Hi,

 I'm Gillian

What started as a hobby became a passion, and eventually, a way of life. I've been obsessed with taking photos ever since my grandma and I found an old Polaroid camera at an auction when I was in high school. As a self-taught artist, I always knew I wanted to build a career around creativity. While in college, I interned as a graphic designer and content creator, where I continued to grow my skills both behind the camera and in visual storytelling.

After graduating, I worked as a professional photographer for a marketing agency in Chicago, creating content for brands like Hulu, David's Bridal, and White Claw. Then my husband, Dakota, and I traded Illinois for a new adventure in Rapid City, South Dakota, and it completely changed my photography. Living in the Black Hills has stretched my creativity in ways I never expected. The sweeping landscapes, golden light, and endless places to explore have shaped my style into something more intentional, adventurous, and true to who I am. I feel incredibly lucky to call this place home and to share its beauty with every couple and family I photograph.

Getting married myself only deepened my love for weddings. We celebrated our own wedding in Cabo, surrounded by the people we love most, and experiencing those moments from the other side of the camera gave me a whole new appreciation for what matters most. I know how quickly the day flies by, how meaningful the quiet in-between moments become, and how priceless it is to have photographs that let you relive it all for years to come. That perspective is something I carry with me into every wedding I photograph.
